Generally, we attempt to purchase land where the costs are reasonable to keep expenses down. Often the location will be rural, but some homes will be located within the city limits. We do our best to ensure that the home is located on or close to paved roads, and also close to transportation, hospitals, grocery stores, etc.

The home, appliances, and other property belonging to the veteran without cost. However, the veteran is responsible for their electric and other utilities, etc. They will also be responsible for property taxes and any other expenses that may be incurred. Although it is not a requirement, it is highly recommended that the veteran has some type of income to sustain themselves and their families.

Yes, many veterans have physical, medical, and/or physiological issues, etc. To ensure that veterans can get the help that they need we work with other organizations to make sure that we address all of the veteran's needs and issues to increase the likelihood of success.

We receive recommendations from many different sources. Examples: religious organizations, VFW, homeless shelters, etc., and also from personal recommendations. To ensure fairness and impartiality we use a lottery-type selection process and use a third party in the selection process.

Veterans served their country with honor and there is no reason that any veteran or their family should be homeless or facing homelessness.
